World’s easiest latte
I love my morning coffee. And, I love summer. But, sadly – the two cannot co-exist. The newly warm-ish weather strongly deters me from sipping on a piping hot mug for 45 minutes. That’s where the world’s easiest latte comes in.
First, pour a cup of milk into a glass jar. (I use 1%.)
Add a dash of cinnamon.
Put the lid on and shake it for around 30 seconds or until the milk doubles in size. Then, take the lid off and put the jar in the microwave for 45 seconds.
Here’s the last step. Combine equal parts of frothy milk and coffee into your mug.
That’s it. Literally the world’s easiest latte. Well, mostly. It’s not exactly a latte. I don’t use espresso, but after grinding dark roast beans and brewing a strong pot of coffee in my automatic drip machine, it really is hard to tell the difference. I adapted my recipe from one featured on Martha Stewart’s show, you can see the original recipe here.
i do a similar thing with my ice coffee around the 4 o’clock crash time…mix equal parts milk, coffee, and ice in a jar shake till frothy and cold….add honey and enjoy!
That’s a great idea. I bet that whole process would make a delicious green tea latte too!
