Tea Time {ginger + lime + nutmeg}

From the start of September to the end of April, I’m continuously searching for ways to stay warm. Maybe it’s my low blood pressure, my slightly below average body temperature, or maybe I’m part reptile. Regardless of the reason, I require teas, soups, blankets, and wool socks to be administered on a regular basis. My current go-to tea is a spicy and soothing ginger, lime and nutmeg blend. In addition to warming you up, this tea is also great for digestion – something that will surely come in handy with Thanksgiving only a few days away.

Pass the water please.

While many people have refrigerators that also act as water dispensers, we are still a Brita pitcher household. This means a couple of things; 1) the pitcher is convenient to have at the dinner table, but unattractive and 2) you have to remember to refill it. So, I decided to turn my last screw-top bottle of white wine into a quick and cute bottle for serving water at the dinner table.

Cinco de Mayo {Double Agave Margarita}

I’m a big fan of margaritas. That being said, I don’t get to drink them very often. I prefer a traditional style with simple ingredients and sometimes it can be tough to find a classic margarita among all the slushie style and tub mix versions.  The warmer weather paired with Cinco de Mayo celebrations tomorrow has put me in the mood for my favorite margarita.

World’s easiest latte

I love my morning coffee. And, I love summer. But, sadly – the two cannot co-exist. The newly warm-ish weather strongly deters me from sipping on a piping hot mug for 45 minutes. That’s where the world’s easiest latte comes in.

First, pour a cup of milk into a glass jar. (I use 1%.)
