Our garage needed a little TLC. (Read: it was a hideous monstrosity of an eye sore that taunted me each time I traversed our driveway.) So, over the past few weeks I worked away at it, little by little to make it a better space. I’m really happy with how it turned out – it never ceases to amaze me the difference that paint can make. Here’s how I repaired the windows and gave the garage a face lift for $60.

My husband and I recently celebrated our first anniversary, prompting me to reminisce by looking through our wedding day photographs. Among the wonderful pictures of family and friends and perfect moments, I was also reminded of how much DIY effort went into the event. The months leading up to our wedding were a whirlwind of finalizing details, so it was so nice to look back and see how it all came together. One of my favorite DIY projects were our table markers.

Last weekend, my husband and I had a chance to see one of his closest friends get married. It was a beautiful and intimate ceremony with a laid back style that reflected the couple’s taste and the feel of Cape May.
