I haven’t been able to get Philip C Curtis off my mind since visiting the Phoenix Art Museum. His work has really stuck with me, so I thought I’d share some of it.

This is one of those times where I cringe when thinking about sharing these pictures, if you’ve read From Hoarder to Order, you know I abhor sharing super messy before pictures. But if I don’t share them, you won’t have the hideousness of the before to compare to the amazing after. (Disclaimer: I don’t really know that it’s going to be amazing, I’m being optimistic. I actually have no idea how this will turn out.) But, here it goes…
We have an out building that was once used as a chicken coop, a storage unit and a potting shed. I’m hoping to completely renovate it and make this building an art studio, because again, if you’ve read From Hoarder to Order, you know that we don’t have a ton of space for all of my ongoing projects. So, I started demolition on the interior yesterday. This is her good side:
I’ve been looking for an outdoor rug for my patio for probably the last two years. But, I’m never able to commit to a carpet because our exterior is not even close to being finished. I’m settling on colors soon and painting this summer, so I decided it was time to get more serious about my outdoor accessories. Here are some favorites from this season.

This $200 peacock rug from Target makes a bold statement with a feathered pattern throughout.

Next to a nice malbec, my wine of choice (especially in summer) is prosecco. It’s delicious, inexpensive, and has the power to make a small occasion feel like a celebration. After opening a bottle for a cook out last week, I looked a bit more closely at the cork and had an idea – in addition to providing economical bubbly, my prosecco provided the perfect base for a display card holder.

I found this cute boudoir tray at my favorite consignment shop a few weeks ago and was instantly drawn to its classic style. I’ve wanted a serving tray for some time, so I decided to pick this one up and give it a few updates.
